Uttarayan is the day when the Sun starts to travel northwards marking the decline of winter.
People mark the celebrations by flying kites. People of all ages enjoy this festival. Those who love to fly kites remain in their terrace from dawn to dusk. International kite festival is celebrated in Gujarat each year.
